I know fall was supposed to have fallen awhile ago, but Mother Nature doesn’t quite know when to say when because the calendar says October, but weekend forecast says August.
Friday in the Fryer
It’s going to be another toasty afternoon across the region as the summer’s grip holds on tight to the region.
A cold front attempted to move through the region yesterday but encountered the massive upper ridge sitting off to the southeast and now it’s being sent back out way as a warm front.
Of course, this doesn’t mean we’ll be without rain chances as a few pop-up storms will be possible during the afternoon hours.
Otherwise, the hot and muggies continue with highs topping out in the upper-80s (and we can’t rule out a 90 here or there). Mostly sunny skies will reign supreme for those who miss out on today’s smattering of scattered storms. Overnight, lows won’t drop that much, with temps staying around 70º.
Just a Sultry Saturday
What little forcing for precipitation that we will have exited the region and that leaves us with just the hot and humid weather.
Our only saving grace will be the small chance for an afternoon shower bubbling up in the ample heat of the afternoon, but even those won’t last too long and will fade with sunset. Temperatures remain as they’ve ever been: hot. Highs again near 90º with lows only falling to near 70º.
I feel like I’ve written that same sentence about 600 times since summer began. Which leads me to…
Yet Another Sweaty Sunday
The upper ridge wins out and with the closest weather system sitting over the great plains…yeah, another hot and muggy day but this time, without even the hope of a cooling shower.
You know the drill by this point. Hot and humid with highs near 90º under unrelenting mostly sunny skies. Nighttime lows won’t be much better, falling…again…to a humid 70º. I just hope you haven’t put the sunscreen away quite yet.
