Warmth is in the forecast. However, it should be the last cool day before a warm up moves into the region. Temperatures will warm into the mid 40s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
High pressure will move to the south of the region overnight. This will lead to the development of southerly flow. Southwest winds will help keep temperatures in the mid 30s overnight.
Warmth Returns Thursday
Southwest surface flow really begins to establish itself on Thursday. This will result in highs up to the low to mid 60s under partly cloudy skies. You can thank high pressure to the south and low pressure to the west for that southwest flow. Thursday night lows will drop back to around 40° under increasing cloud cover.
Rain enters the forecast on Friday. A surface boundary will slide to around the region on Friday. This will lead to the development of widespread showers and cooler temperatures as highs top out around 50°. Rain continues overnight as lows drop to around 40°.
