Hey folks! Hope everyone is doing well this morning. We’re all waking up to pretty cool temps across the region, and it is looking to remain that way through Wednesday, as we are expecting cool and calm midweek weather.
Partly Sunny Tuesday
While we will likely have sunshine this morning across region, don’t let that fool you. With very cold temperatures above the surface in the mid levels of the atmosphere, expect cumulus clouds to form this afternoon.
In addition to this, isolated rain/snow showers are expected as well. They’ll be brief and light, but they may cause a brief period of reduced visibility.
Highs today should be in the mid 40s, around 44°F for most of us. Tonight, expect lows to fall to around 24°F.
Similar Weather on Wednesday
As that heading indicates, we’re expecting fairly similar weather to occur on Wednesday. Cold temps will remain in the mid levels of the atmosphere, and as a result we’ll see more partly cloudy skies develop.
While I expect today’s cloud deck to remain in place much of the day, I think Wednesday’s clouds will tend to move eastward early in the day as the best saturation in the atmosphere moves east as well.
Highs are expected to reach the upper 40s, around 47°F.
Warm up on Thursday
Thursday’s forecast will come as a welcome sight to sore eyes. I am pretty sick of it being cold at this point, so a warm up is exciting! It won’t be too crazy a warm up, but at this point, I don’t care.
A low pressure system centered in eastern Colorado (hint: our next weather maker) will draw its warm front just to our north, initiating westerly and west-southwesterly winds at the surface.
This should help us warm up, even while we sit under the presence of partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon (high clouds tend to form along the warm front). Highs should jump into the upper 50s and lower 60s. I lean towards 60°F as a high.
By Friday, that low pressure system is near us, and rain chances increase again for our weekend… *rolls eyes*.
Well, that is all I have for you today folks! Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone! Be sure to follow our real-time weather feed @wxornotBG.
