Good morning, everybody! I have some pretty good news to share with y’all this morning. The rain/yucky weather looks to be moving out and making way for sunshine!
The upper-level low that we’ve been dealing with is finally moving away from our region. Once this pesky low moves out today, high pressure will infiltrate the area, giving us much nicer conditions for our weekend.
Via WPC Surface Analysis, valid today 7am – Saturday 7am
However, as this low pushes out of the area, there is still the possibility of isolated to scattered showers throughout the day.
Simulated Reflectivity via COD Meteorology, valid today
Today won’t be a washout by any means, but this rain will be annoying. Like, raining enough that you need your windshield wipers, but you can’t find the right speed so the wipers make that squeaking noise the entire time (that kind of annoying). Also, be mindful of patchy fog tonight into Friday morning.
Also, there looks to be enough low level moisture to give us areas of patchy, dense fog overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning, so just be aware of that when driving.
For the end of the workweek through Sunday, we can expect to see increasing amounts of sunshine and dry weather (yay!). It also looks like temperatures will be climbing back up to normal and even warmer than normal levels. Rats! I’ve actually quite enjoyed the cooler temperatures this week. It makes me really excited for Christmas!!
Today: Isolated/scattered showers throughout the day with a high of 77°. Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 61°. Areas of patchy fog tonight through tomorrow morning
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with a high of 81°. Overnight, expect more mostly clear skies with a low of 62°.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high of 85°. Overnight, expect more mostly clear skies with a low of 64°.
